Victoria Lazenby

Victoria Lazenby, Director and Principal Risk Assessor, has over 17 years professional experience focused on the assessment of human health and ecological risk due to chemicals in the environment. Victoria brings significant technical expertise to the field of risk assessment, having completed hundreds of related projects as primary author, technical lead, or senior reviewer. This experience includes overseeing complex and novel investigations, completing projects with significant external scrutiny, and undertaking assessments of new and emerging issues.
Victoria’s technical expertise encompasses risk assessment, contaminated site investigations, air quality assessment, public health, environmental epidemiology, contaminant transport, and exposure assessment.
With several years’ experience in academic, research, and regulatory environments, Victoria has predominantly worked in consulting since 2006 and brings significant commercial and corporate experience to her projects.
Victoria has been the national lead for risk assessment service lines at major international consultancies since 2011.
Coordinating national teams of up to 15 risk assessors during this time, Victoria has a strong history of collaborating with national and international risk assessment networks across Australia, the Americas, Asia, and Europe.
Victoria was awarded the Australian Land and Groundwater Association (ALGA) award for Outstanding Leadership by a Woman in the Contaminated Land and Groundwater Industry in November 2019.
